Gurley Level Serial Numbers

It includes an 1880 Eckel Level, an 1800's Patten Vernier Compass, two Gurley Vernier Compasses, one from 1878 and the other dating from the early 1900's, along. I am rather passionate about the dating of instruments and am always interested in serial numbers and dates associated with them and would love to share. This vintage Gurley Wye level is really old. The serial number (hand-stamped underneath the base) is 8313, so we suspect that this instrument was made in 1908. It is 100% complete and is in excellent condition for its age.
