Hello, Background info: I am using a Dell Laptop XPS M1340; running Win7 build 7100 with an internal Bluetooth card (Dell Wireless 370 mini-card). I am using a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse (Microsoft) with the right Microsoft Driver (from the MS Hardware Win7 support site). Issue: I have certain issues with the Bluetooth (is it the driver?). Sometimes my mouse and/or keyboard will lag, sometimes even stop working for a few seconds. When this happens too often (when the iterations are close to each other) I might end up with a BSOD (Blue Screen). Diag: Event viewer gives errors (numerous) like this: Event 2, HidBth - Bluetooth HID device (00:12:5a:9d:ed:d1) either went out of range or became unresponsive. Event 17, BTHUSB - The local Bluetooth adapter has failed in an undetermined manner and will not be used.
The driver has been unloaded. I am writing this to help the community with the Win7 dev and hopefully get a more fuctionnable Win 7. Thanks for any help, Simon. I am having a similar problem.
My internal bluetooth device (in an Asus n51vf) worked fine until today. I am running windows 7 64bit and have all windows updates available.
Today the device stopped working. I am getting a few different error messages: 1)Event 17, BTHUSB, The local Bluetooth adapter has failed in an undetermined manner and will not be used. The driver has been unloaded. 2) When I click up my devices there is an unkown device (the internal bluetooth chip).
When I right-click and troubleshoot I get the following: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) I have tried updating windows, installing the driver from the comp manufactuer, and installing the driver from the bluetooth manufactuer with no luck.
The install process usually stops because it is unable to dectect the device and will say 'please plug in or turn on your bluetooth device.' The device is plugged in, it is turned on (I check this a bunch of times), and the light for it is on. Please let me know what I need to do to fix asap!
@road2glory: that's totally unrelated. The link you posted is for a SYSTEM freezing. Most likely an overheating system. Quite common problem with Dell notebooks really. The one being discussed here is BLUETOOTH device / card freezing.
I've got the same issue with Win 7 on a Dell latitude. Seems to be related with the BT card & some weird thing with HID input devices. I've had the darn thing connected to a BT headset and it was working without a hitch. Yoga Nidra Audio Free Download Hindi. When a BT mouse was paired, the freezing thing started. Still looking into this but my guess is, a change of drivers.
Gonna try the powershare suggestion also.
